SCAD TVfest 2026: Legends, Love Stories, and Impactful Television

Every year, SCAD TVfest feels like a homecoming, but this year? This year was extra special.

The 14th Annual SCAD TVfest reminded me exactly why this is my favorite time of the year. From inspiring conversations to unforgettable moments with the people who shape the stories we love, the festival once again delivered magic.

One of the most meaningful highlights for me was meeting Jeff Probst. As a longtime Survivor fan, this moment truly felt full circle. Survivor has been a constant in my life for years, so having the opportunity to chat with him about Survivor 50 was honestly surreal. It was one of those moments where fandom and real life beautifully collide, and I don’t take that lightly at all.

This year, I also had the incredible opportunity to interview the “Hallmark’s Power of Love” panel, which brought together such a dynamic and beloved group of creatives. The panel featured:

Matthew Lawrence (Second Chance Love, Boy Meets World)
Chilli (Second Chance Love, TLC)
Alison Sweeney (Executive Producer, Romance at Hope Ranch, Days of Our Lives)
Evan Roderick (Because of Cupid, Spinning Out)

The conversation was filled with warmth, intention, and genuine insight into storytelling centered on love, growth, and second chances, everything Hallmark does so well.

I also had the pleasure of interviewing Jalyn Hall and Precious Way from NBC’s The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins.

I was also able to interview Brandon Mendez Homer and LaĆ«titia Hollard from HBO Max’s The Pitt.

Moments like these are why SCAD TVfest means so much to me. It’s not just about celebrity sightings or red carpets. It’s about storytelling, representation, creativity, and community. It’s about being in rooms where passion meets purpose and leaving inspired to keep telling stories of my own. Once again, SCAD TVfest reminded me why I look forward to this event all year long. And if this year was any indication, the magic is only getting bigger.

Experiencing the Magic of the 13th Annual SCAD TVfest: Exclusive Interviews & Highlights

The 13th Annual SCAD TVfest was filled with inspiring panels, sneak peeks of upcoming shows, and incredible conversations with some of the most talented creators and actors in the industry. I had the privilege of conducting exclusive interviews with a stellar lineup of TV’s brightest stars and creative minds, and I’m excited to share the experience with you all!

Honoring the Duffer Brothers: Day 1 of SCAD TVfest kicked off with an exciting award presentation honoring Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer. The Duffer Brothers were celebrated for their groundbreaking contributions to television storytelling, blending nostalgia, sci-fi, and heartfelt character arcs into a global phenomenon. Their discussion on the evolution of Stranger Things, their creative process, and what’s next for them in the industry was truly inspiring.

Diving Deep with the Cast of FOUND: My festival journey continued with an insightful interview with Nkechi Okoro Carroll, the powerhouse showrunner known for her dynamic storytelling. I also spoke with FOUND’s leading lady, Shanola Hampton. Joining her were co-stars Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Gabrielle Walsh, Arlen Escarpeta, and Brett Dalton, who opened up about the show’s intense themes, character development, and the emotional depth they bring to their roles. Their passion for the series truly shone through, and it was fascinating to hear how FOUND tackles stories of resilience and hope.

Catching Up with the Stars of Tyler Perry’s Sistas: Next, I had the pleasure of chatting with the dynamic cast of Tyler Perry’s Sistas—KJ Smith, Novi Brown, Mignon Bar, and Devale Ellis. Their chemistry was undeniable, both on and off-screen, as they reflected on the show’s growth, the evolution of their characters, and the cultural impact Sistas has had over the years. It was refreshing to hear their candid thoughts on friendship, love, and representation in television.

Closing Out with Grosse Pointe Garden Society: I wrapped up SCAD TVfest with an exclusive interview featuring Aja Naomi King and Ben Rappaport, stars of the upcoming series Grosse Pointe Garden Society. They were joined by executive producer Casey Kyber, who gave me a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process behind the show. The trio teased intriguing plotlines, complex characters, and the unique charm that sets Grosse Pointe Garden Society apart. It’s definitely a series to keep on your radar!

9th ANNUAL SCAD aTVfest | A Million Little Things Cast Interview

Now in its 9th year, SCAD aTVfest 2021 was a virtual experience, bringing together professionals from all aspects of content production, including broadcast, cable, web, social media, and advertising to discuss current industry trends and showcase the best work on the small screen.

On Friday January 29th I was able to speak with the cast of A Million Little Things currently this is one of my favorite shows out right now. I discovered this amazing show last year when I was trying to find some quality TV to watch. The premise of the show is that it's set in Boston, a tight-knit circle of friends is shocked after a member of the group unexpectedly dies by suicide. The friends realize that they need to finally start living life as they cope with their loss. The title is a reference to the saying "Friendship isn't a big thing - it's a million little things" DJ Nash does an exceptional job with the writing and casting. Add this show to your list and you have time to catch up because A Million Little Things will come back to ABC on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at 10 p.m. ET.

Check out my interview with the cast below it was definitely a good time!

Girl’s Trip’ Producer Will Packer and cast members Jada Pinkett Smith and Regina Hall visited Atlanta to host an exclusive  screening of “Girls trip” last night at the SCADshow theatre.

Mayor Reed gave a special introduction for the producer and the cast of the film.

Girl's Trip is about four lifelong friends—Regina Hall, Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett Smith and Tiffany Haddish— that travel to New Orleans for the annual Essence Festival, sisterhoods are rekindled, wild sides are rediscovered, and there’s enough dancing, drinking, brawling and romancing to make the Big Easy blush. The film is Phenomenal, Tiffany Haddish is extremely hilarious and all the girls had great chemistry in the movie. I loved the message it is definitely worth checking out with the girls.
