KISS Products for KAELEN Fall 2015 New York Fashion Week

Lead stylist Gina Edwards for KISS Products led the nail team and created the looks for the KAELEN show for Fall 2015 New York Fashion Week.

To play off the colors and patterns in the collection, Edwards used KISS 100-Count Nails in Active Oval with KISS Design Perfection to create a negative space chevron design in a warm mauve hue. "The look perfectly complements the collection and negative space nails are in full force for Fall," says Edwards.

Gina Edwards step-by-step on how-to create the look:

PREP 

• Using KISS 100-Count Nail Covers in Active Oval, select the correct size that fits natural nails and apply directly to fingers using adhesive included
• File nails into an almond shape 

NAIL ART DESIGN / PAINT 

• Apply 2 KISS Design Perfection chevron stickers to the nail in a downward direction, leaving space between each sticker
• Paint two coats of polish in a warm mauve shade (used KISS custom blend polish) over KISS 100-Count Nail Covers – allow for drying time
• Once polish is completely dry, slowly peel off the KISS Design Perfection stickers 
• Apply your favorite top coat to seal

Kiss and Broadway Nails for KAELEN Spring 2015 New York Fashion Week

For Kaelen Spring 2015 collection, designer Kaelen was inspired by a flower, described as ‘minimal tropical’ bringing the 70’s to the modern day. Lead manicurist Gina Edwards for KISS Products, Inc. played with the minimal approach, creating a glam yet toned down nail with a custom blend opaque nude polish that was painted over imPRESS Press-On Manicure by Broadway Nails.

GINA EDWARDS’S step-by-step on how-to create the look:
Prep and Polish:
•Select the correct size imPRESS to fit each nail and set aside in order
•Prep nails with the prep pad to remove all oils and lightly buff around the cuticles
•Peel off and press on imPRESS
•File nails, tapering to a point at the tip to create the desired pointed almond shape
•Paint two coats of the custom blend Broadway Nails polish onto each nail
•Apply KISS quick dry top coat and allow to dry
