OGX Beauty Inaugural National Bad Ass Hair Day

May 26th, 2015 marks the Inaugural National Bad Ass Hair Day. A national holiday that’s celebrated every year, this day will “go down in beauty history” as the day we turned bad hair days into bad ass hair days. The holiday on which we set our own standards. 

Recently I decided to give myself a makeover not because I was unhappy with my look just because its Spring and the weather is amazing and I wanted to spice things up a little bit. 99.99% percent of the time I wear my hair curly so I thought to myself "I wonder how I would look with straight hair." So I did it and it totally rocked! My family loved it and I have strangers constantly stopping me to give me complements. It's cool! I highly suggest you try it and here are a couple of easy steps to do so!

1. Color and/or Cut your hair
2. Go from Curly to Straight
3. Once you have a new hairstyle, it's time to get a makeover. Head to a department store makeup counter and ask for a makeover. 
4. Have the Makeup Artist recommend a Bold Lip Color
5. Make over your wardrobe - Grab a friend and go shopping and step out of your comfort zone and find some pieces that will add some flare into your life.  
6. Take charge of your health! Exercise more and Eat Better
7.  Enjoy some quiet time: Find a spa that will let you lounge. Then turn off your cell phone and soak up the silence for the rest of the afternoon.
8. Change your social time: Take salsa classes, go indoor rock climbing, or make time to have drinks with friends! Always make time to enjoy life
9.  Purchase that designer bag you've been eying
10. or those new shoes
11. Makeover Your Mind: Learn a new language or stop the Barnes and Nobles and pick up a new book

5 Ways to Exude Confidence Effortlessly Daily

Confidence matters and I've always been the type of person that dances to the beat of my own drum and it works for me. Confidence takes depth coupled with an ability to truly love who you are. It all starts with you and I'm going to share my 5 easy ways to exude confidence effortless daily.

1. SMILE: Because it uses less muscles to smile then frown and it helps with your overall energy and makes you feel good.

2.Stop Caring What Other People Think: The more you worry about what other people think of you, the more your confidence will be depleted. Always choose to be true to yourself and you’ll be proud and confident regardless of how others react.

3.Develop a Positive Mindset: Life is 10% of What Happens to me and 90% of how I react. Don't let anyone take you out of your positive zone. Listen to motivational podcasts, write down quotes and inspirational messages on note cards and put them around your house and office. Remember you are in control! Stay Happy!

4. Body Language: I remember in the 4th grade my teacher approached me and asked me why I was always hunched over and I told her because I was taller than everyone. She told me to stand tall, and value my height because it shows power and prestige, and basically I have been strutting everyday ever since that conversation. Body language matters so stand tall and strut!
